December 3rd 2011, 10am – 4pm

Buy Your Tickets Today

The Holiday Spirit renews again in Chestnut Hill with the well-loved Holiday House Tour. The Chestnut Hill Community Association’s 2011 Tour will feature five wonderful Chestnut Hill houses. Each has a unique architectural and interior design style. All are decorated inside and out for the Holidays by the region’s very talented designers and florists, who bring their creative design aesthetic and signature style to each home. You will be able to come through the homes, meet the designers, get ideas of your own, and enjoy the gracious spirit of the season, thanks to homeowners who open their doors for this special day.

Where to Begin
Registration is best done in advance (see Reservations below).  On December 3rd, come to Christ Ascension Lutheran Church, 8300 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118 to register, pick up your wristband, tour map, and program.  You can ride in our Trolley, which will bring you back to the church, or use your own transportation.

And when your tour is done, we encourage you to:

Visit Woodmere Art Museum, which is offering a special, festive open house to Holiday House Tour attendees.  Located at 9201 Germantown Avenue, 19118
Explore “The Avenue,” Chestnut Hill’s famous Germantown AvenueEnjoy one of the fine Chestnut Hill restaurants and cafes, many of which will offer a 10% discount by presenting your Holiday House Tour wristband. Start or finish your holiday shopping in many of the unique and interesting shops along Germantown Avenue and its side streets, or just take a leisurely walk in what Forbes magazine declared to be one of the top seven urban enclaves in the country.
Experience the HistoryChestnut Hill is designated as a National Historic District.  It was settled in the 1600s by farmers and tradesmen recruited by William Penn and re-created as a “summer colony” by Philadelphia’s wealthiest families in the mid-1800s. Currently thriving as one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the United States, Chestnut Hill – inhabited for over a century by a panoply of architects – represents an historical legacy of significant and varied architecture surrounded by open green spaces.
Our Houses
Chestnut Hill’s architecture spans some 300 years, and this year’s five very special Holiday House Tour homes embody a comprehensive representation of historical and architectural significance. The decorating skills, ideas, and expertise of our designers and florists will transform already beautiful and unique homes to another level with their holiday creations.
